Cherry Blossom Season
A couple of months ago, Brandon and I took a weekend trip to D.C. to check out the cherry blossoms, enjoy the spring-ish weather, and indulge in our nerdiness at all of the city’s museums.
This was my second visit to D.C. just this spring. In March, I was in town and got to make a special delivery to the American Immigration Lawyers Association, where I dropped off curated Yumday snack boxes for their annual lobby day at Capitol Hill. (Read more and watch highlights in Yumday’s Instagram post below.)
Although the D.C. visit was super short, we managed to fit in:
A stop at the White House (of course) and the Eisenhower Executive Office Building (the architecture is impressive!)
A nice walk around the National Mall, starting at the United States Capitol, then down to the Washington Monument, and then to the Lincoln Memorial
Visits to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, and the National Gallery of Art
Dinner at Reren Lamen & Bar in Georgetown (yup, it’s Lamen not Ramen)
A quick Filipino lunch and grocery pick up at Kababayan in Woodbridge, VA
And Brandon’s first Jollibee meal!
I’m looking forward to many more trips to D.C., and I’m excited to explore more places in Virginia and Maryland. So stay tuned!
