This past spring, Photoville came to Los Angeles for two weeks of photography exhibits, walks, and talks. It was an inspiring time, and I loved having the chance to meet other photo enthusiasts and participate in workshops that helped me flex my photography muscles (which were starting to get out of shape 😱).
Photoville is kicking off again today in New York City, and I envy all those people who’ll be there! In honor of the start of Photoville, here’s a little throwback post highlighting some of my favorite moments during Photoville LA — including scenes from the “Contact High: A Visual History of Hip-Hop” exhibit at the Annenberg Center for Photography and select photos that I took during various photo walks and workshops with amazingly talented artists from LA.
Note: I formatted the images below for an Instagram story. To get the “story” effect, click on the first photo to enlarge, then scroll through using the left and right arrows. And the very last photo (“FIN”) is a reflection selfie! 🤳 Enjoy! 📸
